Pitt Faculty Fellowship
Applicants must have fulltime, continuing appointments in the School of Arts and Sciences, in a department in the humanities or allied social sciences. Those selected as fellows will receive a minimum of one course released time for one semester, perhaps more if resources permit. Fellows have the option, as approved by their department chair, to buy out a second course through salary reduction. Fellows must reside in Pittsburgh and must agree to participate fully in the activities of the center during the tenure of their fellowship. Fellows will be appointed by the dean, as recommended by the center director, after consultation with the center’s advisory committee (comprising five tenured colleagues from Pitt humanities departments). Because a fellowship affects teaching assignments, those applying should alert their department chair.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: October 15, 2012 for the academic year 2013-14. We cannot accept materials before September 8, 2012.
