Thank you for your interest in a Pitt Faculty Fellowship in the Humanities Center!  These fellowships are open to faculty members currently employed at the University of Pittsburgh.  Faculty on continuing appointment whose contract includes research are eligible.  We are interested in receiving applications from researchers employing any humanities method and producing research outputs of different kinds.  To apply for this fellowship, please provide the following:

  • A sample of your research output. If you submit a writing sample, please aim for 5,000 to 10,000 words. Film clips, musical performances, or audio submissions should aim for 10 minutes. If you have questions about the format of your submission, please let us know.
  • The Center encourages and supports research on and in languages other than English, but because English is the language of most Center activities, we require application materials to be provided in English.
